Tows well but with limitations

Purchased this vehicle in june 2011 as an upgrade from my navara D22. Although it looks good and has more power I'm not finding it as good as it looks! The Abs brakes are not fitted with EBD (in 2008) and seem very keen to operate the ABS system on the wet greasy roads I travel on -3 times we have been left sliding along with the juddering of the system travelling through the brake pedal! It did at least stop in a straight line! Gearing can be too high - try reversing a trailer without riding the clutch !You have to stop to engage 4 wheel drive which is a bit embarrasing half way up a welsh hillside and then stop again to disengage on the other side! Also the paint quality is not brilliant especially in the nooks and cranies. There is some bubbling on the tail gate.
Although the price was right I wish i'd purchased an L200 or an Izuzu Rodeo! The vehicle has done 70 000 miles.
