Overall reliability

On a par with SAAB 9-5 for Performance, Comfort, Ride quality and better for ease of access to seating.

We are very pleased with this car having done a tour of Scotland and got 48 mpg, even on shorter journeys around home area never lower than low 40's depending on traffic. We were looking for a car that was easy to get in and out of and this was just ideal with the floor being
a normal car height of around 4-5" from the ground, the only other car anything like similar for ground clearance was the Renault Scenic stage 1 and/or stage 2. Unfortunately we bought a stage 3 last year to replace the superbly comfortable SAAB 9-5 which became too hard to sit down into. The Scenic was higher than we thought only by a couple of inches BUT the suspension was much harder than the stage 2, so the Ford is so much more comfortable by comparison. Both cars have high profile tyres , but Ford's Grand C-Max has a long wheelbase and the suspension is really good and for me that's the most important thing. The Ford is more expensive but well worth it, the Best car I have ever owned, most versatile and well built. Superb automatic 6 speed gearbox, very smooth. I just added a spare wheel and removed the 3rd row of seats which gives a huge boot. Well done Ford, this is my first Ford in 44 years of driving puchased with 18,000 miles on the clock and I plan to keep it for the forseeable future..
