Fiat Doblo (2010 - 2021)
1.4 16v Eleganza 5dr People Carrier
A real step up from the old Doblo
We replaced an old diesel with the new petrol one due to DPF issues and are amazed at how much better this new one is. We loved our old Doblo but this one is even better.
The looks are much more coherant, from some angles it even looks good! We have the same burgundy colour as in the HJ review which looks different depending on the light.
The interior has huge amounts of space, everyone who sits in is impressed. The quality, fit and finish are improved over the old Doblo. You sit lower, probably because it is based on the Punto, so it feels less like you sitting on it.
We have the red interior which really lift it I think, time will tell if it fades to a pink! Lots os kit inside, we have the tom-tom which runs the blue and me stuff which is impressive. The start stop system works well, although I am not sure if it makes any difference to mpg.
The stereon connects to my ipod easily, and strangely sounds better via ipod than with a CD.
The ride is still quite firm, but this means not much body roll and really good grip. Much more car like to drive. The little petrol engine is typically Italian and is only happy when its being revved hard!
Overall we are very pleased with our Doblo, they are so rare that it really stands out on the road (and we never lose it in the car park!). And an absolute bargain! Thoroughly recommended!
