Fiat Doblo (2010 - 2021)
1.6 16v MultiJet Dynamic 5dr People Carrier
No oil painting, but a wonderfully practical, comfortable, and easy on the wallet car to own.
Bought this car from Wessex Garages in Cardiff at the beginning of July 2011. It was Pre-Registered with zero miles and came with silver paint, alloys and the family pack ( 7 seats, roof rails etc. ) and all for what I consider a bargain price of £13,000.
The dealer was a joy to do business with and they gave me a fair part exchange price for my Nissan Pathfinder . I use my Doblo as a dual purpose vehicle for my part-time business and for leisure. I have to say that this is not the prettiest car I have ever owned but it is certainly the most practical and the most versatile car I could ever wish for and in these days of sky-high motoring costs it is, for a car of this size very easy on the pocket. There is ample power from the 1.6 diesel engine and I get a realistic 46 average mpg. ( this is less than the official 54 but I do live in a very hilly area and do carry some quite heavy loads ). So far I have covered 24,000 trouble free miles in just over 12 months ( apart from needing new rear shockers at 21,000 miles which was fixed under warranty ) . I was at first a little bit worried about possible reliability issues with Fiat but I am happy to report that so far at least those fears were unfounded.
If you are a badge snob or are too bothered about image then this car is probably not for you, but if you value space and practicality then go for it and think of it as Utility Chic.
