Head turning looks inside and out!

I purchased this car on a whim, having come from a Fiesta ST3 which I absolutely loved, apart from it being too small for me.
Initially, on driving the DS5 home from the dealer, I wondered if I had done the right thing. After the ST3 it was a bit like driving an armchair through a lake of sticky toffee!!! Having said that, after only a couple of days, I have now become fully attuned to my new driving style, and I love it! I have never seen such quality of fitments in a car of this price range. The switchgear and general dynamics of the interior are nothing short of a work of art. This is complimented by futuristic and highly attractive exterior styling which begets admiring looks! The sheer quality of the fitments and switchgear in this car has to be seen to be believed. It's fabulous. There has been much ado about the overly firm ride in this model. I can honestly say that, compared to the ST3, it is sublimely smooth! Ok, the steering is a bit vague, and there are a few other niggles, such as the Sat-Nav not taking a full post code. Plus when washing the car (yes I have already) there are touch sensors on all four of the doors to lock/unlock the vehicle. This results in the doors locking/unlocking and the mirrors constantly folding in and out, every time one passes the sponge or the chamois near the handles. (Ahhh....I've just realized, if I take the remote key away from the car, this probably wouldn't happen!) Duh? I've yet to try the car at night, but it promises to be quite an experience. The interior is designed like an aeroplane cockpit, and there are lights and switches everywhere. Hopefully, the Bi-Xenons will provide adequate exterior lighting. In terms of comfort, the fully electrically adjustable and heated leather front seats, the driver's with a massage function, and the sheer delight of being cosseted in such a wonderful cabin will provide all the comfort one could wish for. Make no mistake, this is not like Citroens of old. This DS5 is certainly the flagship of the range, and it shows in every single detail. Well done Citroen.
