DS 3 (2019 on)
Ultra Prestige
It is different - La Difference!
The car looks good, inside and out, and has that French 'la difference' feel to it! I like the fact that the key stays in your pocket and door handles pop out as you draw close to the car. The dashboard takes a little getting use to and, generally, the controls etc take a bit of time to work it out. Doesn't help there wasn't a handbook with my car... all online. Seats are comfortable with quality nubuck leather. The car's engine is responsive and the automatic gearbox is smooth. Vision is reasonable but the fin design at the side restricts viewing especially when you are overtaking however my model is fitted with a warning if their is a car overtaking you. I found the switches and software works pretty well but not that intuitive. The navigation system is TomTom and works well although the map only uses about 7 inches of the 10 inch screen! Perhaps just too many buttons to press to get where you want but that is a problem with a lot of high tech cars. Petrol economy is good. I like the three driving modes of eco/normal/sport. Normal mode is fine, most of the time, with a bit of zip there if you need it. Surprisingly the eco mode working well on the motorway although I am not a speedy driver. Doing 60 mph I was getting 57mpg. I like the safety features such as: lane assist, the heads up screen and the overtaking warning.
I would recommend the car so far, only had it about three weeks, because of comfort, looks and performance. I would not buy new though as too expensive. I have the top of the range ultra prestige and paid £19,000, 2019 plate with 2600 miles on the clock. Also not too many dealers around so might have to drive further than you would like for servicing and any car problems! Still as I say pleased with the car so far.
