Overall reliability

A box on wheels loads of space.

I have owned this car since november 2013. So far it has not broke down once touch wood.
loads of space because it's a tall and wide car.
The rear seats fold flat down to give a excellent loading bay can take a washing machine no problem.
The good bits.
loads of space
very good on fuel 53 mpg average mixed driving
quite nippy around town
all electric windows and mirrors
A/C
excellent 3 cylinder chain driven engine no nasty cambelt to snap. low emissions cheap to tax its the same engine they use in the aygo/c1 cars.
cd player is quite a decent sound.
very cheap to buy second hand just compare a used aygo againt it i paid less than 2k with 14k on the clock.

Bad bits
Parts are expensive and hard to get hold of as daihatsu don't sell cars in europe anymore.
ride is quite harsh suspension is weak point on this car it rattles over bad road surfaces.
seats are quite uncomfortable on a long run .
Aircon when switched on dulls the engine power but it is only a 1 liter engine
the gearbox is like something for the 80's slick it is not. But i'm not planning on entering it in a race.

so overall i would say this a decent run about for the school run shopping.
would make a decent small van for parcel delivery with its box shape.
daihatsu's are very reliable because they are made in japan and the engine is ultra reliable.
