Good sporty fun car to drive
2.5i auto version with 16" wheels and runflats. Not the fastest sports car around but very nice to drive and the semi manual gearbox is good on twisty roads. Certainly enough power for overtaking and generally comfortable over long distances (has the upgraded seats).
Major service at 32,000 miles raised usual issues - new discs/pads, new rear tyres and - very disappointing - rear gearbox oil seal. To replace the seal a plastic sump has to be removed and although not damaged dealer says "they rarely can be used again as they leak after being re-installed. This increased the price by nearly £200 for a new sump.Would expect better design from a BMW.
