Great car in many respects but some really bad issues
Generally a very good car. It replaced a previous model 528i Touring petrol version. Good performance, comfortable cruising. Bought the diesel for economy for longer journeys.
Main issues are:
i) The dreaded run flats that make local driving an uncomfortable nightmare, and costly. They may be safer, but I have just paid for a second creacked wheel and too many replacement tyres to mention.
ii) Sat nav is far inferior to TomTom I had before
iii) Radio reception is the worst I have ever had.
iv) Fuel economy is not what I expected. A steady 70 mph using cruise control on a motorway got me about 36mpg, which was nowhere near claimed amount
v) my golf clubs only just fit in the boot
