BMW 3 Series GT (2013 - 2020)
320i Gran Turismo 2.0 M Sport 5dr Hatchback
Surprisingly practical car
This is my 3rd 3 series, having had a saloon and estate in the past. This is the most practical.
I have had different makes between the BMW's. I had a few problems with my 320d but now I'm back with petrol I will never buy another diesel. Petrols are just so much more fun to drive.
I tried a Range Rover Evoque SUV before this, but although it looked good, it wasn't as good to drive or as practical.
The rear seats and boot on the GT are massive. I've got 2 teenage children and my son is 6ft and has plenty of leg room in the back. I like the fact that you can store the parcel shelves below the boot floor. Obviously you lose some storage due to the sloping rear window, but we can still fit the dog cage in the back without any problems.
I don't see the point of the pop up rear spoiler and would prefer a rear wiper, but spray on the rear window isn't too bad. Parallel parking is a bit of a problem because the car is so long.
If we didn't need the rear space I think I would go for a 4 series, but as things stand the car is perfect for our needs.
