A Saloon Car and a Convertible in 30 seconds! Superb car that has been reliable in 16 years of ownership

I ordered my 335iSE convertible in October 2006. I wanted the protection and look of a 2 door coupe but a convertible. The solid convertible roof is fantastic and has not let me down once after thousands of operations. In 2006 the vehicle cost 40k as I added most of the option available. The engine is superb - with that beautiful six twin turbo sound. The flapped exhaust system allows quiet operation at low speed. Compared with other convertibles that shake rattle and roll, The BMW is solid with the roof down or up and no rattles after 16 years. I choose the 18 inch wheels and not the M sport suspension - more comfortable but still handles well and very sure footed.
Downsides - MPG at best 30 or long runs but 25mpg around town. After 16 years some of the rubber window trims needed replacement .
