BMW 3 Series (2012 - 2019)
335xd
Many cars in one.
313BHP, 4X4, 4 doors, 5 seats, every extra was fitted as it left the factory for some unknown reason.
Heads up display is my favourite extra.
It's cheap to run, MPG is plus 50 driven at normal speeds acceleration, I've never had less than 37MPG mixed town and motorway driving, can get 60MPG cruising on motorways.
If driven fast it gets to 60 in 4.7secs, traction control and maximum braking even on wet roads is impeccable, however I always pick best wet grip tyres.
I also like that the 4X4 models of these are I think an inch higher clearance than 2 wheel drive models and I've never hit the bottom on anything so far touch wood.
I think about replacing it every year, but I would just be spending lots of cash for a different looking car with a newer number plate.
Many people and most BMW salesman don't know it was essentially the next fastest acceleration 3 series below the much more expensive and flashy M3 varieties.
It looks a very boring common car and yes indeed the 3 series is an extremely well sold car and I can't fault anything on it.
I'll probably just keep it and get it detailed every 5 years keeping it looking like a good condition old 3 series and attracting little attention.
I would recommend anyone to test drive one, so smooth however driven.
