Great polint and shoot car for twisty greasy back roads

I was sceptical about the 'new' 1 series but a chance lift in a friends new 118D tore me away from a Golf and toward a 1 series. At the dealer I tried several but was most impressed by the 120D which seemed to have the best compromise of performance and economy. One year and 23000 miles I have been delighted with my 120D Sport X-Drive. It is amazingly quick (0-60 7.1 secs) with lovely linear acceleration particularly in fourth and fifth. Being four wheel drive it is excellent particularly coming off a roundabout and on greasy wet roads. Economy is around 53 mpg brimmed tank to tank and in a year's hard driving nothing has fallen off or broken. Gripes? Well engine noise can be intrusive particularly on the motorway and equipment level very poor - no cruise control, audio streaming or rear parking sensors (all standard on my 2013 Peugeot Van). It seems all the money has gone into the engineering which is something. It's a perfect compact car for a small family and is a joy to drive.
