Dreadful hesitation makes it potentially dangerous!
This car is a nightmare and an accident waiting to happen. Firstly the good bits, it’s put together well and has a stylish and somewhat plush interior but when accelerating hard, pulling from a junction or entering a round about with positive acceleration the car hesitates fo a few seconds. This is not only a characteristic of the Q8 but is true of all the 286 engine cars, A6, A7 and even the new 2020 Q7! Audi know about this problem but cannot fix it as that will require even worse emissions and we all know about VW and Audi emissions!
Just don’t buy this car or ask for an extended weekend test drive and drive it hard - you’ll then see what we mean.
