Audi A6 Allroad (2006 - 2012)
Audi A6 AllRoad 3.0 TDI Tipronic
Well rounded, comfortable, I love it.
I purchased my car used at 6 months old from Audi, great price. My first Audi to own I am very impressed, great quality and very well built, but we all know that .
This car is great to drive, I have driven to Southern France quite a few times now, non stop!, I get about 43mpg, and I am not fruggle in my driving, but observant of speed signs. ( ish)
The cabin space is large , the driving position good, no numb bottoms after driving 20 hrs , which is nice .
Last winter (2009) we had about 20cm of snow for about 3 weeks, I went out everyday, no problems at all...in fact it drove as if on normal tarmac..very, very impressed, 100%.
My neighbours were very gratefull for my transport.
First service (18K) was about £450 at an Audi dealer, but I knew this when I bought it, second service at around 35k will be £650 (ish), but these are Audi franchise prices.
Front tyres lasted 16k, rear ones 20k, cost per tyre about £190 to £205, again I knew this when buying. Road tax is £405, not good , but the newer version has a 7 speed box which cuts this in half.
As you know you can adjust the air suspension, this is a good feature , but the comfort setting wallows on bends and roundabouts a bit, even if you drive for passenger comfort!
Dynamic setting tightens things up well, well you are at the lowest setting.
I am so impressed I am going to buy a new one ( arriving early 2011), this time an A4 Allroad, my wife perfers a smaller car.
A very nice car ,I will miss the A6, but I will get a 3.0 Tdi again, a fantastic engine, very smooth and responsive.
I highly recommend this car, and no, I do not work for Audi
