Bought with 97000 on clock to replace our trusted but increasingly costly B6 Avant. I like the look of the B8 version & although this model has 20mm lower suspension height & at my age not so easy to get in & out of my vanity puts up with it as it looks better for it! The ride is firm but nowhere near as jolting as on the B6 . Handling is assured and decent feedback with good brakes that are reassuring. Gear changes are a little notchy but fine . Performance is brisk from 163bhp with plenty of torque for overtaking. Economy is not as good as expected ( I’m light footed generally) and as stated on previous articles only about 73% or less of claimed mpg by Audi. Interior excellent layout although B6 seemed better quality dash and plastics but comfortable. In for service ( 104k ) at JKM Portsmouth (excellent outfit) some corrosion on rear subframe although not serious plus some minor wear on bushes and linkage pins but nothing more than the usual so hopefully this car will continue to provide us with a stylish , comfortable and practical mode of transport for another couple of years.
