Best car I've driven in my 44 years of driving!

The S4 Avant that I have is an early manual transmission model. It has now done 106k miles and I have driven it 34k of these. It has always started first time, has never broken down and has all the performance and space that I need. It takes me comfortably from Scotland to Central France, and back, three times a year and has done so superbly. I like the options on this car, especially the Supersport seats, B&O sound system and variable Suspension setup. I regularly use the DVD based Sat Nav system which is good, though the Audi update discs are expensive, if you buy them. The renowned Audi Quattro drive system is standard across the S4 range and I think it is essential on this performance estate. Having praised it so much, I do have a couple of gripes. Firstly the Vehicle tax on this manual version is in Band L, currently £485 per annum (as at 27/11/2014). Secondly, the fuel consumption can get quite high with spirited driving!
