Beautifully Refined Motorway Cruiser

A giant leap in every respect from the old B7 2.0 TDI is had previously. Fuel economy quite good even with very few miles on the engine. More much needed rear cabin space over the previous car. Engine is so smooth for a diesel and ultra-flexible too across the rev-range.
Servotronic steering is great, light around town and firm at speed.
Ride is improved though not to everyones liking, that said the S-line may be.
The only downsides are the poorly thought out MMI software/controls for bluetooth phone operation although the system functions very well.
Sat-nav works well once you get and address into it but lacks some basic features.
Thought I'd hate the electronic handbrake but this works brilliantly.
For once a car manufacturer has looked at the old car and sorted pretty much all of its annoyances with this new model.
How they ever got a 4 cylinder diesel this smooth is beyond me !!
