Audi A4 (2008 - 2015)
2.0 TDI (136ps) SE 4dr
Don't Bother
I had the misfortune to drive this car for 250 miles whilst visiting family.
The car that I drive receives 3 stars and poor reviews on the HJ website. This car receives 4 stars and has gushing praise. My car is sharp and focussed in comparison BUT it doesn't have a German badge.
This car is a fat, wallowy, slug. The mpg is no better than an 1800cc 1997 petrol Toyota Carina that I used to own that had 250,000 miles on the clock.
The pedals are offset to the right meaning that you sit in a skewed position, twisting your body. This makes driving uncomfortable and can cause posture issues over long journeys.
It was difficult to set a comfortable heating setting and I was forever tweaking and fussing trying to cool the car down for me and my family.
The interior is tacky and paint had flaked off many of the buttons despite the car having average mileage.
I'm amazed at the praise this car receives. The reviews are purely based on the car's badge and the company's reputation. You may think you're impressing your neighbours with this car, but the savvy neighbour knows that you've been sold down the river.
Unless you're desperate for a cheap Audi badge on your drive, it's one to avoid.
