Peugeot 307s 1.6 Reg.55 - Rear wheel bearing - sundance

I have been told that there may be two different types of rear wheel bearing for my car. Is this the case? Do I need to buy the brake disk as well or just the bearing, and does it come with the hub or just bearing that has to be pressed into the hub?
Regards
Pete

You'll have to drive the old bearing out of the hub carrier , then drift the new one in. A bit of heat might help get the old bearing out.

Should not have to change brake dis as well unless it is damaged, i.e scored, in which case change both discs and pads on the axle.

I think you will find that your Peugeot is similar to my Citroens in that the bearings can't be removed from the hub. You'll need to change the complete hub, and no, you don't need to change the discs unless they are worn or damaged. See ebay for replacement hubs.

My VIN No.VF33CNFUL84409509 if this helps identify the parts.

For that VIN, the Quinton Hazell catalogue (a free online resource) has two options:

The bearing itself is P/N QWB1327, which in Peugeot P/N language is 3748.83

The entire hub assembly, including the bearing, is QWB1228, which equates to Peugeot P/N 3748.74

Since you referred to discs in your opening post you'll find that you can't renew just the bearings. You need a complete hub with new bearing. It's only drum brakes where you can knock out the bearing and refit a new one.
