I bought a car that was a Cat B write off but the DVLA won't register it?

I purchased a car from Cyprus which was sold as a Category B. The car is in pristine condition, full comprehensive insurance with an MoT. The regulations state that if a car is repairable and insurable, the DVLA must issue a V5 and yet they refuse. The car, an Aston DBS was subjected to minor fresh water flooding. Is there any solution?

Unfortunately vehicles that are written off and given a category A or B status cannot be repaired and put back on the road. A category B write off can be salvaged for parts, but the bodyshell must be written off.
