HJ tyre survey - Question 3 for mods - brettmick

Hi,

The tyre survey Q3 asks :

Do you know if your current vehicle has a spare tyre? Yes/No/I don't know - I haven't looked

Then Q4 asks

If no, does your vehicle have a tyre foam kit? Yes/No/I don't know

Surely if I answer no to Q3 I am stating that I do not know if my car has a spare tyre, not No it does not have a spare tyre? Should the question instead read - Does your car have a spare tyre?

This isn't anything to do with us as moderators, although I think you're right. One of the possible answers to Q3 is 'don't know'. I don't think it should distort the survey.

If as a result of this HJ mounts a campaign to restore the spare wheel as a standard fitment, he'll have a great deal of support.

One thing that's often forgotten is that if your car comes with a full-size spare you get an extra tyre, free. Useful when it comes to tyre renewal: if you put a worn but legal tyre in the boot as spare-only, you have one new one less to buy.
