I have a 2003 Golf 1.9 TDi which has recently had a good deal of loving care and attention (and finance) spent on it... Having recently had new front brakes (discs and pads) and new wheel bearings (front) amongst other things, which has solved a variety of graunchy noises, now - starting after about 2 miles of a journey - when I depress the accelerator, I get a kind of intermittent grinding noise coming from the front of the car. The noise stops as soon as I take my foot off the accelerator, and also when the car is going around a corner. As soon as I straighten up again, back it comes, getting faster as I speed up. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that I first noticed this problem whilst leaving my local VW dealer, but seeing as my faith in them is kinda low right now, I'd value anyone's opinion on what may be the cause - help!
