Quiet and reliable car for under £4k?
I currently drive a 2005 Mk2 Octavia Estate and it's done 114,000 miles. It's now getting to the age/mileage that one thing after another is starting to go wrong, and coupled with general wear and tear at its age I am beginning to look at replacing it (I am getting bored of it too).
I really want to find a very quiet car for the motorways as I do 12-14k a year. And its got to be reliable too. Definitely don't want another VAG group car either, and I have about £4000 to spend.

Definitely not a same age Focus 1.6TDCI or any PSA car with that engine. Maybe a Civic 1.8 if you can find one for £4k.
