I have been advised by the MOT tester that both my daughters rear brake hoses are perishing on her 1990 1.6 auto. I thought I would do this myself as have replaced many hoses in past on front brakes, but the access to these ones seems impossible because of the rear torque tube type suspension. The pipe to flex connection is right above the torque tube so I could just about get a brake nut spanner on the pipe nut but there was no way I could turn it. Even if I got it off I could not see me getting it refitted at all. Is there some trick to improving access - if I jack the body up without the wheels? all help appreciated
