Peugeot 206 1.9D - timing belt removal nessecary for fuel pump remova - aluno

need to take out the fuel pump in my 206 1.9 diesel non turbo,

do i HAVE to remove the timing belt to take out the pump or can i just bolt it all in place and pull the pump out from inside?

If its an XUD engine you should be able to put the pump drive sprocket locating bolts in and leave it in situ.

excellent just as i thought, now, how do i work out if its an XUD engine

They all were until just before your car although yours maybe a DW8 I think it is. Its similar but not exactly the same but I would imagine that the pump drive is close enough. If you have two holes for locking screws and a nut on the end of the pump shaft - its probably the same.

yea ive seen the DW8 phrase pop up a few times im pretty sure your right peter,ill have a check tomorrow, just getting the belt covers off is enough of a job :P
