Ford Focus - Unbadged - Kiwi Al

I am looking to buy a 2007 Zetec Climate that is not badged as a Zetec Climate on the back, it has nothing displaying the model. I have looked at many (in excess of 30) other Focus's and not found another unbadged. Is this car straight or might it have had some kind of repair & respray? I have confirmed it is a Zetec Climate in the log book.

www.hpicheck.com/ is where you can find out about the car's history.

Make sure you get the VIN number from the chassis and the V5, and they are the same, without any alterations.

If in doubt, walk away.

When building a Passat we had the choice to remove the badges, doesn't appear to be an option on the current Focus, maybe someone just went at it with dental floss as they didn’t want the spec showing. On the other had it may well have had a replacement hatch so it is probably worth going over with a fine toothcomb.

I bought an Escort TDX(special edition);it came with TD on the tailgate and the TDX was fitted at first service-but only because I asked.

If you have either the reg or chassis number, also try looking at

www.etis.ford.com,

Click the "vehicle" tab and enter the info you have. I have checked out a couple of Fords I've owned and they are all displayed accurately.

If it's got aircon and a Quickclear screen it's a Zetec Climate.
