My daughter's screen washer has stopped pumping screenwash. You can hear the pump running. I have removed one of the pipes under the bonnet and blown liquid out of the little hole in the bottle cap. With the same pipe removed it still doesn't pump. We are pretty sure nothing is frozen.
Where's the usual place for a blockage? Any tips gratefully received.
Merry Christmas to all.

You have probably got ice in the system somewhere.
Warm water or even better a hot air gun/hairdrier will do the trick. Run the heat over the jets and pipes. If the water tank is frozen some hot water in it should thaw out the ice.
Failing that its a case of pulling the system apart, including the pump and checking for blockages in the lines and filters.
Sometimes a bit of crud can be removed from the jets by the careful use of a pin.

Usual culprit is the filter in the pump itself. You need to remove the pump from the bottle (I think it just pulls out, but don't quote me on that) and then you can access and clean the filter.

Thanks for the comments lads.
We are pretty sure it's not frozen up. I will clean the filter when the weather warms up a bit after Christmas.
Have a good Christmas.

You were spot on Dave, filter needed cleaning. Who designs these things that turn a simple task into a major dismantling job?
Thanks again.
