Works fine in 1st, 2nd & 5th gear but no power in 3rd and 4th. It is a manual deisel American import. This is the same problem reported on this sight a couple of years ago but I don't know if anyone found the asnwer. The turbo has been checked all okay and it has been put on Snap On fault finder and checked out okay. Any ideas would be great

The engine does not know what gear you are in but there may be a speed sensor that is not letting the ecu know what is going on, however it recovers in 5th which does not make sense. Regards Peter

The last thread went quiet after mention of the reversing light switch.
Does your reversing light come on in 3rd and 4th?

The reverse light does not come on in 3rd/4th gear but does work in reverse.

You need a new neutral / park switch, fits on the side of the gearbox.
