06 1.6 Auto - how much is it worth? - BobC
I have been asked to help sell an elderly relative's Peugeot 206 automatic and would appreciate an up-to-date indication of its value (trade and private) in the current market. It is a 1600cc Look in metallic grey and was registered December 2006 (one owner from new). It has done 5000 miles (currently on a SORN as she has stopped driving). Located south-east London.

Thanks AS - it gives a valuation of about £5200 as a trade-in (using an average of Excellent and Average condition values). Can anyone advise how private sale values compare with trade-in values?

Have a look on Autotrader for a similar car within, say, 50 miles of the selling location postcode. That should give a mixture of private and trade sales to work on. When I was young and poor, as opposed to old and poor, I used to go to WHS and have a quick scan of Parkers Guide to check prices without finishing up buying the magazine!
