My new car was registered on 28 June 2007. My V5c arrived 2 July and the PO were on strike for one day - is this a record?
|
No.
My V5c arrived the day after I collected my car, which was registered 1 day before I collected. And this was the first week in March when there was presumably a new plate surge in 'business' for the DVLA.
I was gobsmacked!

My V5c arrived the day after I collected my car....
DVLA probably have an army of part-time contractors in for mid Feb. to mid March and mid Aug. to mid Sept. rush period.
The rest of the year you probably have to rely on Doris who's working reception, doing the lunches and the cleaning and sorts out car registration in her lunchbreak.

is this a record?
if you can spin it on a digit at 45rpm then yes ;-0
but check all details slowly as your car may be showing as a semi rigid tractor unit

Has anyone had to wait 6 weeks for a V5? My FiL applied for his on 24 May and still waiting (although DVLA say could take up to 6 weeks?
|
Took me 3 weeks to get mine through.
But, I renewed my tax disk online on Saturday and it came today (Tuesday), only 2 working days, pretty good.
