VARIOUS - PART EXCHANGE LIMBO? - Moorfoot

A compound close to a car dealership in Midlothian Scotland is currently holding 40+ cars which all appear to be part exchanged and which would probably have gone to auction in the past.

A sample of 21 cars shows they have all been taken off road between Jul 20 and Oct 24 i.e. x1 in 2020, x1 in 2021, x2 in 2022, x11 in 2023, x6 in 2024.

They include x2 Petrol Minis 06 & 08, x1 Petrol BMW 08, x2 Diesel VWs 12 & 14 Reg.

Have you noticed this happening anywhere near you in the UK?

Is it due to the Green agenda?

From that list it’s likely they’re all just inackered and awaiting sc***ping or stripping. Not a reliable car among them.

Sounds like opposite of the green agenda - dealers paying minimum PX values for old cars against new purchases. Kudos to.you for stalking their stock
