Hi,

Thanks for reading my problem.

This has been a wonderfully reliable well running car giving no problems.

About a month ago, I stopped early one morning in very heavy rain to get fuel.

When I restarted journey, Traction control, ABS Braking, Start stop, Tire pressure and Radar collision warnings all came on. (no tire pressure warning when you enter that screen/menu but dash warning still on)

After about 60 miles and parking for a couple of hours all warnings had gone and I put it down to the rain as it was now dry.

However now they have all come back on and have been on for a couple of weeks as I have checked everything I can check. Obvious wiring faults, reconnected all connectors I can reach, brake fluid level, OBD2 checker showing no faults (a small Sealey unit about 10 years old).

The car is still running great giving great MPG, braking well and performing as it should. One thing I will mention which might be a clue or just a waste of time is that the windscreen was changed about a month beforehand and I think cameras and radar may have to be refitted.

When this happened recently on my son’s 2018 Civic it was a failed rear abs sensor. Very similar to what you’ve posted. A decent diagnostic test will pick it up. He called the RAC out and within five minutes they’d told him what it was and which wheel.

A cheap scanner is unlikely to read any accurate information. You’ll need to have a more in depth tester to see what is going on. If the fault light is on , then something will be logged

Maybe it was low battery voltage. Might be worth getting it tested as they can cause havoc with warnings if they are failing.

Hi folks,

You were absolutely correct!!

Proper scan now done and it showed right rear abs sensor failure.

Looks like water got into cable somehow.

Just waiting for the new part.

I will post when fitted and error can be cleared.
