Hi, just received my renewal from Autoaid. Last year was £61 now it’s gone up to over £78 plus if your car is over 10 years old I would have to pay the first £25. Not that impressed with that sort of increase. Wondering what other people are seeing in their renewals. Sparky 100.

My Toyota Roadside Assistance (currently provided by the AA afaik) isn't due for renewal for another few months but I just had a look for you.

Looks like it has gone from ~£72-74pa >£89

Still cheaper then trying to get the same level of cover directly from the AA.

I checked when I renewed recently.

Oh, I agree - for the level of cover it's great value.

Just starting to wonder if the price gap is opening up enough to warrant a change given that I don't need that level of cover (particularly the European cover). Renewal due at end of September so will check nearer the time.

I am with autoaid as well and it has jumped up 30 pound, not happy about that at all, especially given that every other thing from electricity and food have gone up in the last year, and we have heard everything from COVID to the war in Ukraine to blame about everything.

If you have one car in household, then car based cover is cheaper than passenger based cover (like AutoAid).

I moved from AutoAid to EverSure. Didn't have to use yet so can't comment on service quality.

Looks like £78 is not so bad now given it covers 2 people with all the add on’s. Ie. Breakdown / recovery / home start.
Sparky 100.

Just rejoined Start Rescue using the 15% discount link on Money Saving Expert. Cost £67 for personal cover and all the options .

Still No 1 recommendation on Which!
