Ford focus ST line - Car not moving suspected clutch issue - kifel Nasir

Hi, I have a 2020 Ford Focus 1.0 ecoboost ST-Line as a courtesy car provided by enterprise however, I was driving up the hill in 3rd gear and the car started to smell really bad and it started slowing down so i pulled over. Now i put the car into gear and it won't move, just rolls backwards down the hill. This car has only done around 1800 miles, has the clutch gone on me?

Sounds like its been burned out by abuse, new clutch time.

Yes just hand it back to them and get another car.

Surely the instructions left to the hirer state “ any problems contact us or the breakdown company if you have any trouble with the vehicle”.

Must be a better idea than asking an Internet forum what to do?

I wonder how steep the hill was, and I wonder who burnt the clutch out! Why would you post this on here for a hire car?

Cannot see the point of this post...isn't the remedy obvious..?..wonder if the smell was burning pork.?
