MOT certificate no longer online without V5C - catsdad
Checking the Govt MOT history site today I see you now need the V5C number to access the certificate. Previous years' history is still there but presumably that will disappear on a rolling basis in future years.

Unless I've missed something this change hasn't been mentioned in this forum so this must have changed very recently.

Its a pity for the used car buyer as it will mean you can't check up on a car and its miles and history before a wasted journey.

You can still see the history but can't see the certificate or testing station

You can still see the history but can't see the certificate or testing station

Or the tester's observations which I suspect were the real problem.

I thought there were objections to publishing the locations of each test ?

Very handy when MOT locations were listed, made avoiding cars that had spent most of their lives in the annual salt baths of Scotland and the far north easier.
