Hi,

My 2000 (W) Jaguar XJ8 3.2 won't come out of Park unless manually operated and then the brake lights do not work.

I've replaced the switch on the pedal cluster with a brand new unit and also the rotary switch on the gearbox but the problem still exists.

If I disconnect the battery for 24 hours or more, the problem seems to fix itself but soon returns leading me to think I have an ECM problem.

If I replace the ECM with a second hand unit, do I also need the key and barrel from the donor car?
