Ford Focus - Ford Focus 2001 --My car details does not match - fordfocus2015

Hello ,

I buy a car from private seller but my car details does not come up insurance company database.What I should do know?

I have mot and v5c2 documents (V5C2 New Keepes details only).

From V5C2 , I find

Make :FORD

Model:

Year of registration 2001

patorl car

1600CC

From mot it said model focus

Is it LX ,ZETEC,GHIA

If "patorl" is a typo for patrol car, it sounds like an ex-police vehicle, some of which were specials.

Alternatively,the Ford ETIS site will give you details from your Reg number or the VIN.

I believe that "patorl car" might be meant to be "petrol car", but it's only a guess.

My friend said hatchback but on the system it is Saloon

If you cannot decide which it is from looking at it you have a severe eye problem and probably should not be driving.

Simply:

A saloon has a boot lid.

A hatchback has a tailgate.

How hard can it be.

Just look at the figures on the sidewall of the tyre.

If you need to know what they mean, put ''tyre size guide' into Google. Fot some reason known only to tyre manufacturers, some of the measurements are in millimetres, some in inches, but that's the standard way of showing the size.

The V5 will have the engine number on it. Put it into google and you may get your answer.

After reading the fourm bellow , Can I say my car model is

Focus Lx 16v which has Zetec engine

Focus is written from Back of the car

Lx written driver door from outside

Zetec is written on the car bonnet( Under The Hood)
