Hi we have started to get a problem with our parking brake,when we wish to park (ELECTRICAL) the brake wil either come on or it wont.When it does not come on we have to leave it in gear. when it cannot be left in gear ,we have to dissconect the battery then reconnect it ,this will usually enable the parking brake to work again ,but only for a short while. it is becomeing a pain having to keep dissconnecting the battery.

The problem is usually with the electric drive mechanism on each rear caliper.

Water penetrates the casing which then cracks letting more water & dirt in.

You may be able to repair them if not too far gone, & you can DIY.

First try the push button on the dash, around £25 . That's all the fault was on mine.
