SIRION 2008 1.0 - DAIHATSU - ancientaviator62

I have a 2008 Daihatsu Sirion 1.0 which I have been more than happy with. The warranty has now run out and I intend to do the servicing myself. As Daihatsu spares are increasingly difficult (and expensive) to obtain can anyone tell me what spares from other current cars will fit the Sirion ?

How many parts are on a car?

What parts are you thinking of?

I suggest you try a local motor factors, ebay and googling when you want a part.

Lots of parts could well be interchangeable with Toyotas, probably Yaris 1.

As BT suggests, find your nearest proper motor factors (even Eurocarparts/GSF), not accessory shop, there you will all the service consumables that you will ever need, good makes too once you happen upon a good factor.

Chances are that with good maintenance this fine little car won't give you any worries for many years.

edit...when i'm servicing my cars i always pull the brake pads out so i can check the brakes properly, i take that opportunity to make an imprint (stencil) the pads front and back which means when i'm searching in the future i can buy in advance without worrying if they'll fit on the day, similarly note filter reference numbers etc, this applies to all cars mind not just yours.

It's a Yaris engine.. so go along to a used Yaris of the same age and open the bonnet and compare the filters shape/size with a picture of your own..

Oil filters should be the same . Don't know about air. As above, ECP etc will have compehensive lists..
