If you have had your car converted (as I did in 08) and you got a LPG Assoc Cert then these are now useless.

i've been told (by the big nautical officer company) that I need to send the Certificate to the address on the above link to get onto a new Register. Before they will insure me. In fact I won't be using them as I found a better deal but thats not the point here.

Funny but my current one didn't ask for this last year or the Nautical officer one the year before but hey ho. So I'm sending mine off. But nobody told me about this and I wonder have I been living in a cave on Mars with fingers in my ears going la la la for the last three years? Maybe.

Note to Mod...really I tried to convey the identity without giving them any free advertising. Hope thats OK.

I suppose its to be expected, just as everything else has moved online from insurance certificates to VED confirmation, once registered online you won't have any bother about certificates in the future.

I wonder if this has come to notice because some cheap fly by night operations got involved in LPG conversions, then vanished back from whence they came just as quickly, maybe some sub standard (cheap for a reason, possibly unapproved installers) installations have given cause for insurers to get involved.

No one has asked me for proof yet, but my car is registered online so probably comes up as a box ticked at insurer.

Our second car however was converted new by the car makers approved people in 2004 but fortunately i have all the paperwork, that will be an interesting one at renewal time, same insurer as you mention, we'll see.
