Ford Focus Zetec S 5 door TDCI - Spare wheel size - Nobutalad

I Have a 2013 focus zetec s fitted with 18" alloys. Due to 2 punctures in 3 weeks and the ford supplied inflation kit being useless, I am looking to buy a spare wheel. Ford supply a full size 16" steel rim for cars fitted with wheels up to 17". Would I be safe & legal to use this option. I do not think an 18" rim would fit the wheel well. My local ford dealer was not very helpful when I enquired there

Any advice on wheel & tyre size would be helpful

According to the Ford brochure all 2013 MY are fitted with a space saver, no mention of goo and inflator.

But, it does state that the full size 16" steel spare option is not available on cars with 17" and 18" wheels. So although it would appear a 16" full size wheel would fit in your boot since its not an approved Ford part for a car with 18" wheels you may fall foul of your insurers should you have an accident.

Why not look on e-bay for an 18" wheel, they normally crop up quite frequently.

Thanks, but manual lists 3 spares, 2 skinny & 1 standard but not which models they fit
