Hello,
I have recently bought a Vauxhall Corsa E from the Vauxhall dealership 4 months ago and had come with a new MOT. Since then I have driven nearly 4500 miles. Today I have heard that the brakes have started to make a grinding noise. The noise can be heard through the link provided: youtu.be/pTLphz-Ccms
I have never had this kind of noise before and this noise only comes when the car comes to a complete stop. The noise does not occur when I am slightly breaking, only once the car has come to a complete stop. You can hear squeaking noise in the video which is a first along with the grinding noise.
I had gone to the mechanic as I had a nail in my tyre the same day and they had inspected the area where the noise was coming from and said my brake pads are fine by the looks of it. They had suggested it is something behind the brake pad which they said you can't see without lifting the car. They had suggested to come back tomorrow to change it as they could not lift the car to check as they were busy.
What do you think the problem is?
Kind regards,
Akram
