Hi trying to sort my sons car out, any suggestions gratefully received as I don't know whether to spend money or just cut it loose.
Sons car starting to either rev very high or drop suddenly. Throttle body unit has been replaced as was reporting fault and engine was revving wildly. Engine still revving between 100 & 2000 RPM with no throttle pedal movement. Diagnostics showing weird errors such as ABS fault, brake light fault.
Auto electrician suggest that faulty throttle body unit may have damaged ECU or Body control module.
He suggests couple of companies local to me that may be able to reprogram these units to clear issues?

Then reading on here someone was saying it could be HASS MAP any help would be gratefully received, as unfortunately mums money tree is wilting :)
