VW Golf 1.6tdi se 2013 - VW Front Assist and ACC warning - privateinvestor

Good evening,

I had a puncture repair on my car today, upon starting the car after the repair, the warning light Came on ACC and Front Assist not working. Can't for the life of me understand why doing a tyre repair would cause this? any idea folks. Should I disconnect battery, should I wait a fe days to see if fault clears on its own?

I once had a seat belt tensioner fault appear that after 2-3 days cleared itself.

Thanks

Any damage at the front of the car ? Drive it around for a few days . See what happens.

Thats my thinking as well, I can see no damage, perhaps ill give the sensor a clean. It has to be a minor sensor fault.

I need to change two headlight bulbs as well - could it be linked - don't see why it should?

Don’t think the lights would affect it . Could be wrong though.

The front cover of the sensor is covered by a plastic surround - easy to take off - the sensor has a cable running into it - after a few days could try either a new sesorr or just ftry to take it out and put back in .

Apart from cleaning the sensor and making sure it is secure on the bracket , I would leave well alone . Realignment requires special adas equipment and diagnostic. New radar is over £600 .
