Can a tyre be re-used if it's been filled with tyre sealant?
Can a tyre be re-used if tyre sealant has been used for a puncture? Can the sealant be cleaned and the tyre re-used or is it condemned?

Emergency tyre sealant is designed as a temporary solution to a puncture and a professional tyre fitter should be able to remove the sealant and repair the tyre assuming the nature of the original puncture is not sufficient to destroy the tyre. However, it may depend on the type of tyre sealant you use, as some are water-based to avoid damaging the tyre, while others use chemicals which can degrade the rubber. As a general rule we would advise that any tyre that has had tyre sealant used on it is replaced at the earliest opportunity.
