With your particular needs - parents and bike, but hopefully not all at the same time - you're going to have to visit showrooms and try various cars out for size. As others have said in this and another current thread, it's seat height, distance between seat and door sill, and the height of the sill itself that you have to look at. And how willing are you to detach the front wheel from the bike when you take it in the car?
I've been looking at the Kona and Kia Niro (in electric form in my case) and the Niro is a lot roomier than the Kona, especially in terms of rear legroom. Personally I didn't care for the downmarket interior trim of the Kona, which reminded me of a 1950s kitchen.
You haven't said what your budget is, although your other thread said you're buying new. So I'd guess that if you want an SUV, the ones to look at would be, in no particular order:
Skoda Kamiq or Karoq
VW T-Cross or T-Roc
Audi Q2
Ford Puma or Kuga
Peugeot 2008 or 3008
Hyundai Kona
Kia Niro
Suzuki Vitara
Renault Captur (the Dacia Duster is a cheaper alternative using Renault mechanicals)
Honda Jazz - new model
If you go for a hybrid, remember that these are all automatics. But the Toyota Corolla estate might be worth a look: lower loading height for your bike.
Final left-field thought - if you go for a car a couple of £000 below your maximum budget, you've money left over to buy yourself a folding bike.
