Please will someone out there remind me of the title of the film which may have had Tom Hanks as the male lead. He was a widower with a son about nine years old. I can't remember a great deal about the story but probably enough for someone to answer my question. The Dad listened to a radio phone-in programme which featured people in his situation and subsequently he became friends with a lady who was also listening to that programme. In due course, much encouraged by his son, our friend arranged to meet said lady at the top of the Empire State building in New York. They almost missed each other but because the lad had left his satchel behind, they had to go back up the ESB and there was the lady waiting for them. Enough said?
