i have some spare original wheel trims that have a few kerb scratches on them. They are too good to just chuck but I can't justify spending a fortune on primer, paint and clear coat. Any cheap light silver paint recommendations would be appreciated.

I will only attend to the light damage on the edges not the entire wheel trims. I shall put them on only when i lend my car to others and possibly mid winter.

The colour is light silver. I was wondering about a small pot of model paint

funny you should say that , as today I have been touching up my car
using some Plastikote paint in a tub.

I have used it before, for another area on the car, and it seems to weather well.

Halfway thru, first coat

(I initially tried a hammerite look, by dabbing the paint when drying
but went over it again, (after the picture was taken) and it smoothed out the lumps)

Poundland are doing spray on enamel,
and clear varnish paint too.

I sprayed both bumpers black with poundland black matt.

ps it was my car's 21st birthday yesterday, so I decided to treat her to a make-over.
cost £2.64 to do ...but she's worth it :)
