Hi everybody,

Today I was driving on the highway and my cruise control was on. I drove almost 2 hours without any problem and all of a sudden I got engine error, and the car started running lumpy. It doesn't go over 80km/h and no higher than 1900 rpm at the moment. I drove to Peugoet official dealer and got it diagnosed. Below is the report:

5008 Turbo diesel DV6C Opr 12835

Error code: P0262, P0265, P0268, P0271

The dealer said that the problem is with injectors and all four needs to be replaced. The thing is, I bought this car recently and the car has been in garage for a long time. Therefore, I am thinking that somewhere got clogged somehow. Can anybody give me an idea what the problem would be and replacing the injectors are the only way to get this resolved?

Early DV6C engines suffer injector failure, sadly. Yours is 30 Dec 2011, so right in the band. It's probably not necessary to replace all the injectors at this time, but the others may well follow suit, so you may consider it good insurance. I would have it done somewhere other than a main dealer.
